Determinants of Implicit Knowledge Acquirement and Transfer in Management Decision——Evidence from Complex-system-control Experiments

Abstract

Complex-system-control model is an important experimental method in cognitive psychology which is specially used to study implicit knowledge acquirement and transfer in management decision.A series of experiments prove that implicit knowledge can be explicited through practicing,giving verbal report,decreasing information quantities,increasing salience of critical information and high level aloud thinking.The interaction between task complexity and motivation level,task complexity and observe learning,are also proved to have influences on implicit knowledge acquiring.Evidences above have significant influence on management practice: practice and effort help people transfer implicit knowledge into explicit knowledge;high level expression and communication also promote the transfer;identifying critical information characteristics is significant in decision making;high level motivation is not suitable for technological workers and innovators and people should learn through practice in difficult tasks.
