On Current Situation and Countermeasures of Extracurricular Sports Activities of Middle School Students in Fuzhou

Extracurricular sports activity is one of the important paths for realizing the objective and tasks of school physical education,whose development situation can directly impact students' physical and mental health. Taking middle school students and PE teachers of four representative schools in Fuzhou city as the research object,the study investigates the current situation of students' extracurricular sports activities with documents,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics. In allusion to problems of low participation rate,inadequate amount of exercises,differences between male and female,and insufficient support from parents,several suggestions are put forward in the paper.
