Abstract
Objective To explore advantage and disadvantages of rhytidectomy incision for parotidectomy. Methods Thirty patients underwent parotidectomy were randomly divided into two groups.Groups A was performed parotidectomy through traditional s incision while group B was performed through rhytidectomy incision. Results 15 cases using the traditional technique showed 33.3% facial paralysis and 13.3% frew's syndrome.15 patients were operated by using the modified technique and all the cases showed good aesthetic results with no obvious scar and deformity. Conclusion The modified incision of parotidectomy greatly reduces the disadvantages of the traditional technique. It better than conventional technique.
