Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of icariin on the proliferation of the human gingival fibroblasts (HGF).Methods HGF were cultured in vitro and stimulated with icariin with three concentrations (0.001,0.01,0.1μg/ml) for 0,24,48,72 and 96 hours. The ability of proliferation of HGF was detected by MTT method. Results The proliferation of HGF were enhanced by icariin ( P0.01),and the most efficient concentration was 0.01 μg/ml.Conclusions Icariin may up regulate the proliferation of HGF.
