The Evolution of Marx's Concept about Civil Society

Abstract

Ever since 1990s,the Chinese academia has put civil society in a lasting attention.Marx's concept about civil society is one of the bright spots regarding those put forth by many a western scholar.This thesis intended to have a look into Marx's ideas on civil society,and realized that his concept about civil society had played a critical role in his creation of the historical materialism.
