Application of the Cooperative Learning in Foreign Language Teaching

Cooperative learning is an effective teaching strategy.It requires that teaching must be student-centered and group activities should be the basic teaching form,which enables students to develop their initiative and creativity.It groups the class into teams and emphasized group activities on the basis of the theories of cooperative learning and stresses teachers' role of direction and encouragement and cares students' participation in foreign language teaching.The cooperative learning method plays a very important role in improving foreign language teaching.
