The CT Urography Technology (MSCTU) Application in the Diagnosis of Urinary Tract Diseases

Objective To investigate the spiral CT urography(MSCTU) in the diagnosis of urinary diseases.Methods The 94 cases of clinically suspected of urinary system disease with conventional color Doppler and spiral CT scan,the original data to the processing workstation,using maximum intensity projection,multiple planar reconstruction,curved surface reconstruction and volume rendering and post processing method,to obtain complete urinary image.Results The conventional color Doppler ultrasound found 41 cases with the diagnosis of urinary calculi with hydronephrosis,21 cases of the tumor,5 cases of inflammation,6 cases of congenital malformations,the diagnostic accuracy rate of 73/94(77.66%).All cases showed not only urinary disease by MSCTU.The urinary stone with hydronephrosis in 54 cases,tumor 24 cases,inflammation in 8 cases,congenital malformation in 8 cases.MSCTU on the upper urinary tract obstruction due to diagnostic accuracy rate of 100%,and can visually display the morphology of the lesions and the relationship with surrounding tissues.Conclusion MSCTU can from a plane,much azimuth3D stereo display throughout the urinary tract anatomy,for urological tumors,stones and other urinary tract obstructive diseases have a unique value in the diagnosis.
