Abstract
Objective To investigate the feasibility and security of endotracheal intubation without muscle relaxant in thyroidectomy.Methods 60 patients undergone thyroidectomy with general anesthesia were randomly divided into group A which were given muscle relaxant regularly,group B which just received muscle relaxant during anesthesia induction and group C without muscle relaxant.Target controlled infusion of propofol and remifentanil were respectively performed to maintain the depth of aneathesia.Evaluate the conditions of endotracheal intubation and memorize the changes of HR and MAP in different time points during operation.Record the recovery time and extubation time during awaken period and also track adverse events after operation.Results All patients received successful operation.The patients of group C recoverd more rapidly with more stable hemodynamics during operation than the other two groups.But there were no significant difference of adverse events incidence among the three groups after operation.Conclusions Endotracheal intubation without muscle relaxant is feasible and would be of great clinical value during thyroidectomy.
