Survey of bacterial contamination of medical oxygen humidifying containers and control measures

Objective To analyze bacterial contamination of medical oxygen humidifier bottles,and evaluate control measures.Methods All 256 three states of the oxygen humidifier bottles were randomLy selected,figured out pollution detection rate,and analysised of bacterial distribution.According to the analysis,implement of control measures and to review the rate of bacterial contamination.Results The contamination rate was 44.52%,the rate of the three groups were significantly different(P 0.01),the number of colonies detected between the three groups was significantly different(P 0.01).It was mainly Gram-negative bacterial contamination in three groups,the distribution of bacterial contamination between three types was significant different(P 0.05).The bacterial contamination rate in reexamination was 27.67%,which was significantly different(P 0.05) with the previous result.Conclusion Medical oxygen humidifier bottles had a higher rate of bacterial contamination,which mainly was Gram-negative bacteria.The rate can be effective reduce by strengthening of disinfection,aseptic technique,the timely replaceing equipment.
