Abstract

Objective To study the diagnostic value of pleura1 effusion combined with seruul adenosine deaminase(ADA),carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)in testing tuberculous and malignant pleural exudates. Methods To choose 38 cases with tuberculous pleural exudatea and 35 cases with malignant pleural exudatea.Testing the level of ADA and CEA of them. Results The level of ADA in tuberculous pleural exudatea was Significantly higher than those in malignant pleural exudatea. And The level of CEA in malignant pleural exudatea was Significantly higher than it in pleural pleural exudatea(P0.01).Conclusion The test of ADA and CEA of pleural exudates should have great diagnostic value in patients with tuberculous and malignant pleural effusion.
