Abstract
On the basis of the research overview of automotive welding fixtures,it notes the disadvantages in current research, which discusses the significance of automotive research and development of intelligent design system for welding fixture. It adopts group technology(GT)to code and build foundation class library of intelligent system. Using hybrid reasoning method of RBR and CBR,the flowchart of intelligent design is given. The intelligent design system for welding fixture is developed in the form of dynamic link library of VC++6.0 based on similarity algorithm,transformation matrix algorithm and models in NX8.0 CAD software. The system can export the three dimensional components from component database,module database and case database of welding fixture,which satisfy the portability of standard parts library and the design requirement of shortening design period,decreasing the error of design and manufacture and design cost.
