Abstract
In order to effectively reduce the exhaust noise of a car,it uses the finite element pre-processing software Hypermesh to establish a flow field model and an acoustic field model of the muffler, analyzes the characteristics of muffler internal flow field based on finite volume method, obtains the boundary conditions for acoustic field calculation such as temperature and velocity.Based on LMS.Sysnoise it calculates acoustic performance of the muffler, illustrates the frequency characteristics of the transmission loss. This provides the basis for the improvement and optimization design of the muffler.
