Abstract
Computer Networks is a both theoretical and practical course. It is challenging for teachers to choose suitable teaching methods due to its characteristics of teaching in English for the course. In this paper, the author has adopted a series of measures to ensure the teaching quality targeting on the problems emerged during teaching practice. For example, the author inspires students and activates their involvements through heuristic teaching methods relying on both the multimedia and the blackboard. This method effectively eases students′ fear of the language barrier during the lectures. In addition, the author integrates both theoretical and experimental teaching approaches in class, which enable students to get additional hands-on experience based on their understandings of the basic theory.
