Comparison of laparoscopy and laparotomy operation for ectopic pregnancy

Objective: To compare the clinical effect of laparoscopy and laparotomy operation for ectopic pregnancy.Methods:A total of 160 cases with ectopic pregnancy from 2008 February to 2011 February were randomly divided into laparoscopy group and laparotomy group with 80 patients each group,and clinical effect were compared between two groups.Results:Operation time were(50.68±8.26) and(80.26±11.29) min in laparoscopy group and laparotomy group,respectively,with significant difference between two groups(P0.05);The blood loss of laparoscopy group were significant less than that in laparotomy group(35.42±6.25) vs(86.35±11.82) mL,P0.05);The average time of anus exhaust,detaining urethral catheterization,ground activity,length of hospital stay and normal working recovery after operation in laparoscopy group were signifcantly shorter than laparotomy group(P0.05).Conclusion:Compared with laparotomy operation,laparoscopy operation for ectopic pregnancy have some advantage of obvious curative effect,less injure and faster recovery.
