Abstract
Objective To explore the anxiety and depression feeling of the family members of terminal cancer patients and their coping styles for purpose of guiding psychological intervention and improving quality of life.Methods By using SAS,SDS and SCSQ,236 family members of terminal cancer patients(observation group) and those of chronic diseases(control group) were investigated.Results The SAS and SDS scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group and internal norm(P0.01 for all).There were no significant difference in the scores of active coping style and negtive coping style between observation group and control group(P0.05 for all).SDS scores in the observation group were significantly negatively related to the active coping style(P0.01).Conclusion The family members of terminal cancer patients were mostly associated with the anxiety and depression feeling which were affected by a wide range of psychological factors.
