Change of Plasma Brain Natriuretic Peptide in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome and Its Significance

Objective:To investigate the change of plasma brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS) and its significance.Methods:20 patients with stable angina pectoris(SA),30 unstable angina pectoris(VA),30 acute myocardial infarction(AMI) were selected.ACS included SAP and UAP.The level of plasma BNP was detected and compared with normal control group(n=20),then the diffences among groups were analyzed.Results:The level of plasma BNP was respectively 38.15±11.26pg/ml、41.92±13.37pg/ml、308.54±97.34pg/ml and 736.29±103.63pg/ml in normal control group,SAP group,UAP group and AMI group.Compared with normanl controls,The level of BNP showed no difference in SAP group(P0.05).The difference between UAP,AMI group and normal contral,SAP gruop was significant(P(0.001)).There was group(P0.05).The difference between UAP,AMI group and normal control,SAP group was significant(P0.001).There was also difference in level of BNP between AMI group and UA group (P0.001).Conclusion:The level of BNP increases in ACS,and is higher in AMI than in UA,which indicates myocardial ischemia was stimulating factor for releasing BNP.BNP may reflect the degree of myocardial ischemia in ACS.
