Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravenous amiodarone and propafenone in treating paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia with the meta analysis. Methods Randomized controlled trials(RCT)included written in Chinese and English concerned using amiodarone and propafenone in treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia were collected from 1999 to 2012 in a meta-analysis.The RevMan 5.1 software of Cochrane Coordination Net was used for statistical analysis. Results The therapy of amiodarone group and propafenone group in the treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia effect analysis were;integrated test results was(OR=1.45,95%CI 0.83-2.51,P 0.05).The funnel plot analysis showed no significant bias. The adverse reaction analysis of amiodarone group and propafenone group therapy in the treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia as follows;integrated lest results was(OR=0.47,95%CI 0.29 ~ 0.77,P 0.05).The funnel plot analysis showed no significant bias. Conclusion The amiodarone group and propafenone group therapy in the treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia were showed no obvious differences. The incidence of adverse reactions of the amiodarone were lower than the propafenone.
