Abstract
Zeng Gong, Wang Chen and the editor of Song History all extol the superb talent of Li Chunyun. Among all the heroes following the first emperor of Song Dynasty, Li Chuyun was the most outstanding in both expression and contribution with the exception of Zhao Pu. Unfortunately, he was excluded by Zhao Pu and died in the prime of his life. As a result, he failed to realize his great aspiration. Nevertheless, the foundation that he had laid, together with an opportunity for his family to become the relative of the emperor's mother or wife later on made Li's family in Shang Dang the most celebrated relative of the emperor's mother or wife.
