On the Mental Changes of Bai Juyi towards the End of the Throne of Emperor Li Chun and at the Beginninng of the Throne of Emperor Li Heng

Abstract
The exact time was in the earlier April of the fifteenth year of the throne of Emperor Li Chun when Bai Juyi left Zhongzhou for Beijing.Towards the end of the throne of Emperor Li Chun and at the begininng of the throne of Emperor Li Heng,Bai Juyi went to two extremes mentally: he gained much pleasantly and got much favourate compensation while still felt anxious and lost.Just because of the incompetence in the Court and his not being favoured by the Emperor,Bai Juyi flatly resigned the position of Zhong-Shu-She-Ren(who composed documents for the emperor) and asked to take a position outside Beijing.The two documents,the Memorial to Emperor by the Governor of Zhongzhou,and the Memorial to Emperor by the Governor of Hangzhou,truly showed his state of mind towards the end of the throne of Emperor Li Chun and at the begininng of the throne of Emperor Li Heng,when he wanted to rouse himself up again but finally gave up.It was when he took the position of Governor of Hangzhou that Bai Juyi gave up devoting himself to the position and began to cultivate himself.
