Efficiency of butorphanol combined with propofol in gastroscopic examination

Abstract

Objective To observe the anesthesia effect of butorphanol combined with propofol in painless gastroscopy.Methods One hundred twenty ASA Ⅰ ~ Ⅱ grade patients,who were ready to accept painless gastroscopy,were randomly divided into three groups,40 in each group.The group A was only intravenously injected with propofol.The group B was first intravenously injected with1μg/kg of butorphanol and then propofol.The group C was first intravenously injected with 1μg/kg of fentanyl,and then propofol.The patients went to sleep before gastroscopy.If it was necessary,additional propofol will be re-injected.Results There was no significant difference in anesthesia effect among the three groups.VRS scores in the groups B and C were significantly higher than that in the group A(P 0.05).MAP was dramatically decreased in all the three groups(P 0.05) but no significant difference was found among the groups.After injection of drugs,HR in the group C were significantly decreased when compared to other two groups(P 0.05).The incidence of respiratory inhibition in the group B was lower than that in the group C(P 0.05).Conclusion Combination of propofol with butorphanol or fentanyl has better anesthesia effect than propofol alone in painless gastroscopic examination.Combination of propofol with butorphanol has fewer adverse reactions and it is safe and convenient.
