Discussion on the problems with the epidemic reporting of infectious diseases and the solutions

Objective The present study was conducted to find out the problems with the epidemic reporting of infectious diseases, providing data for the betterment of the prevention and control of epidemic situations through promoting the timeliness and accuracy of epidemic reporting. Methods The problems with the routine epidemic reporting of infection diseases and the causes were analyzed. Results It was found that the methods used in the management of epidemic reporting of infection diseases were inappropriate with delayed and missing reports on epidemic situations occurring repeatedly. Conclusion Regular evaluation on the quality of epidemic reporting of infectious diseases and analysis of the major influential factors should be conducted to better supervise and instruct epidemic reporting.
