Statistical Analysis on Research Papers of Service Subject of Public Libraries

Adopting the bibliometric method,this paper makes a statistical analysis on the papers of service subject of public library published in recent ten years by using the database of China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI).The results show that the numbers of service subject papers increase year by year from 2003 to 2012,the total number is 2 652;the contents of the papers of service subject include the information service,readers service,service system,extended innovative service,and disadvantaged groups,etc.;the journal with the most number of papers is Library Tribune among the core journals identified by Peking University,and among investigated common journals,the journal with the most number of papers is Sci-tech Information Development Economy.In the light of abovementioned situation,this paper puts forward some suggestions:the first is to increase the research ability and strengthen the construction of the research team,and consolidate the achievements of the original papers;the second is to strengthen the research of all areas of this subject,and increase the number of the papers of service subject of public library,the third is to improve the quality of the papers,and carry out deeper survey and research.
