Abstract

Objective:To investigate the advantage of endoscope in microvascular decompression for trigeminal neuralgia.Methods:The clinical data of 40 trigeminal neuralgia patients from 2011.7 to 2012.7 that treated by microvascular decompression were analyzed.The endoscope was used before and after microvascular decompression to observe and judge responsible vessels and location of Telflons.Results:In 40 cases trigeminal neuralgia,the response rate was 87.5%(35/40).2 cases occurred hearing impairment on the affected side and improved during follow-up.Conclusions: Endoscope-assisted microvascular decompression for trigeminal neuralgia has contributed to judge responsible vessels and place Telflons correctly,also can improve the curative effects and reduce intraoperative injury as well as complications.
