Abstract
Tomicus piniperda have occurred in large areas of healthy man-made forest of Pinus massoniana forest in Zhazuo forest farm of Guizhou Province in recent years.Research results showed that sporadic healthy trees had been attacked by clusters of Tomicus piniperda, then damage had been colonized and expanded.Primary damage characteristics of bark beetles were a kind of adaptability to healthy trees. The peak time of the shoot-feeding period and the trunk-attacking period was overlapped from July to September,August in particular.
