Abstract

The friction and wear properties of PTFE and graphite-MoS2filled PTFE composites were investigated by using a re-ciprocating friction and wear tester, and the frictional surfaces of these PTFE composites were examined under an optical micro-scope.Experimental results show that graphite-MoS2reduces the friction coefficient and increases the wear resistance of PTFE because the graphite-MoS2has the function of lubrication and prevents the separation of wear fragments from the PTFE.
