Dicussion on planning of water-saving improvement and status of canal systems within large scale irrigation districts in Anhui Province

Under the new circumstance at present,higher requirements from the sustainable development of the economic society are put upon both the construction and management of the irrigation district,for which the water-saving planning is just the prerequisite and foundation for the sustainable development and the water-saving and benefit-increasing of the irrigation district concerned.Based on the analyses made on the status and existing problems of the irrigation district,the discussions on the aspects such as the guiding concept and principle for planning,the mode of water-saving improvement and the technical measures,anti-seepage of channel,etc.are made,and then a reference is provided for the further water-saving improvement and continued-construction plan for the irrigation district concerned.
