The Study of the Translator’s Subjectivity from the Perspective of Functional Translation Theory

According to Functional Translation Theory,translation is a cross-cultural communication with certain purposes.A translator always chooses translation methods or strategies purposefully based on the intended purpose or function of the version.This theory has undoubtedly opened up a new angle of view for the study of the translator’s subjectivity.The translator’s subjectivity based on Functional Translation Theory is mainly manifested in two aspects: the choice of source text and the Creative Treason of translation strategies.
