Abstract

GPS satellites positioning technology is employed to do the crustal deformation monitoring work in a city.Theories and methods for data processing and precision analysis of GPS monitoring network are discussed. With the help of highly precise stations and orbits positioning analysis software GAMIT,the actual surveying experimental data of some city's monitoring network are resolved. From the separate analysis of baseline results and coordinate results after the solution process,it is shown that in an area of 100 square kilometers, the horizontal and vertical proportion errors of GPS baseline repetition rates can reach up to separately and the precision of three dimension coordinate solution results of GPS monitoring stations can also be around 3 millimeters, which greatly satisfies the demands of crustal deformation monitoring of a city.
