Abstract
Objective To discuss the clinical application of mesenteric multi-slice spiral CT angiography(MMSCTA).Methods The MMSCTA was performed by 16-slice spiral CT after the routine arterial and venous phase scanning in 17 cases with the unknown cause of abdominal pain. The three-dimensional vessel imagings were acquired with MIP,VR,MPR or CPR,to describe the abnormal findings of mesenteric vessels. Results The mesenteric vessels were showed normally in 8 of 17 cases. The superior mesenteric artery(SMA) and inferior mesenteric artery(IMA) concluded in one case;the narrow of the proximal SMA was found in 3 cases, one of which accompanied a tortuous collateral vessel;aneurysm of SMA main trunk was seen in one case;thrombosis of SMV was detected in 3 cases,in two of which the SMV was unopacification,in one of which the filling defect was seen in SMV.Conclusion MMSCTA is a noninvasive, accurate and quick diagnostic method of mesenteric vessels.
