Synthesis and Characterization of D_4 Silicon Microemulsion

Abstract

The stable silicone microemulsion was successfully synthesized by continuous dropping D4 monomer with the help of nonionic surfactant as the emulsifier under the catalysis of dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid.The effects of the amount of nonionic emulsifier,the amount of catalyst and D4 monomer on microemulsion properties was discussed.At the same time,the FTIR of silicone microemulsion was analysed.The result showed that the stable silicone microemulsion can be prepared when the amount of emulsifiers A was 1.2%,the amount of catalyst was 2.4% and D4 monomer was 20%.The acquired microemulsion has good Ca2+ stability and mechanical stability,and the conversion rate comes up to 84.67% and particle size is 36.59nm.
