An Empirical Study on the Relation between Inbound Tourism and Economic Growth

Based on correlation analysis,multiple regression analysis,and Granger causality test methods,the paper analyzes the relation between inbound tourism and economic growth from 1978— 2011of Guangxi.The result indicates that there is a striking correlation between economic growth and inbound tourism,that the regression equation between economic growth and inbound tourism is significant,and that economic growth and inbound tourism are both second order integration sequence coupled with a longterm cointegration relation between them,and that economic growth is the Granger causality of inbound tourism.
