On the Economic Development of Xigu District, the Old Industrial Base

Abstract

The two-fold industrial structures of Xigu District, the old industrial base, has caused structural contradiction , which is the deep reason of influencing its sustaining and harmonious regional economical development. This article advocates that it is of special value to realize harmonious development of the whole regional economic system and refresh the old industrial base by taking the following measures; combining the industrial resources to form enterprise groups; adjusting agriculture to industrialization; strengthen commercial, food and service industries to weaken the two - fold characteristic of the industrial structure.
