Abstract

Objective To explore the effective dialysis methods and nursing strategy for the old-aged patients with uremia in order to raise their survival quality. Methods The clinical data from hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis of 122 old-aged patients with uremia were retrospectively analyzed. Results All patients under dialysis had malnutrition. The old-aged patients under peritoneal dialysis had less severe complications. And their survival quality is better than that of the patients under hemodialysis. Conclusion The key point to raise the survival quality of old-aged patients under dialysis is active psychological nursing, clinical observation, prevention of complications, nutritional support and correct dialysis method.
