On the Category of "Social Fundamental Contradiction

At present, the research in China on the hiberarchy and category of contradiction system in Marxist philosophy tends to divide contradictions into three kinds: basic priincipal contradictions and specific contradictions. This division lacks one layer, i.e. social fundamental contradictions, the most essential one. When the category of fundamental contradiction is established, the contradiction system and category system can be divided into four layers or four categories. As a principal contradiction at this stage in China, thecontradiction between demand and production rises to the position of social fundamental contradiction. This may facilitate the understanding of the realistic issues in today's China.
