Opportunities and challenges for the development of rural sports under the background of overall planning of urban and rural development——Taking Chongqing as an example

Abstract

The study suggests that the notion of overall planning of urban and rural development brings new opportunities to rural sports development in terms of social environment,economic condition,traffic conditions,sports infrastructure and so on.However,the idea also causes rural sports to face the challenges of losing physical force,changing main participants and so on.New development thoughts should be considered and applied,such as laying good foundation for sports development,making proper plan and development blueprint,training new sports participants,creating featured sports projects and developing rural sports industry.
