Abstract
A novel acrylic anodic electrophoretic coating was developed. The relationship of the proportion of several monomers of acrylic esters, especially that of acrylic acid and hydroxyethyl methacrylate as functional monomer,to the anti-corrosive property of the coated metal and the electrophoretic process condition, was discussed emphatically,as well as the effect of different hardening agents upon the performance of the coating. The stability of the coating fluid was also investigated by contrasting the composition of the original coating with that of the coating surface by(~1 HNMR).The results showed the anodic electrophoretic coating presented here is of good quality and practicability.
