Abstract
Cathodic electrophoretic coatings have been widely used as antirust undercoat for their excellent corrosion resistance, high electrophoretic force and coulomb efficiency. Monocomponent acrylic cathodic electrophoretic coating was prepared by copolymerization of blocked unsaturated isocyanate and acrylate monomers. Formula and reaction options of synthesis of the resin was investigated, and properties of the obtained electrophoretic coating were tested. The results show that the synthesized electrophoretic coating has overcome the weaknesses of electrophoretic coatings cured by applied cross-linked agent and has strengths such as colorability, high corrosion resistance and decorative results.
