Talking History and History Talk:On Significance of Narrative Strategy In New Historical Novels of Contemporary China

Abstract

Writers have attached more importance to their narrative strategy in the production of the new historical novels under the influence of the Western New Historicism.Narration has become the carrier of their attitude towards history and the means to deliver historical meanings.Therefore,the narrative strategy has obtained the ontological meaning in the new historical novels.The four changes in the narrative strategy and the meanings expressed are the kernel of discussion in this paper.
