Abstract

Objective To explore the relationship between expression of VEGF-C or VEGFR-3 and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma through the lymphatic nodes.Methods The improved immunohistochemical method(S-P) was used to detect the VEGF-C and VEGFR-3.Results The positive rate VEGF-C and VEGFR-3 were 67.5%,55.6%,respectively.There are significant differences of expressions of VEGF-C or VEGFR-3 between in tumor metastasis with and without through the lymphatic nodes(P0.05).Conclusion VEGF-C and VEGFR-3 involve in nasopharyngeal carcinoma metastasis through the lymphatic nodes.
