Abstract

Aim: To investigate the faction and clinic value of TRAIL and Caspase-3 in neuroblastoma. Methods: The in-situ hybrization technique, immunohistochemistory S-P method and TUNEL method were adopted for detection of expression of TRAIL mRNA, Caspase-3 protein and apoptotic cell. ReSUltS:①The expressions of TRAIL, Caspase-3 and apoptosis index indicated no statistical difference ( P 0. 05 ) among neuroblastoma, ganglioneuroblastoma and normal ad-renmedullary tissue.②No difference of TRAIL expression was found in groups of neuroblastoma ( P0.05) , but expression of Caspase-3 and apoptosis index were related with tissue type , clinical stage and histological classification. ( P 0.05). ③No relationship was found between TRAIL and Caspase-3 in all of three kinds of tissues; but expression of TRAIL was irrelevant to expression of apoptosis index; and Caspase-3 and AI manifested positive relation ( r = 0. 888, 0.989,0.958, P =0.000). Moreover, TRAIL and Caspase-3 manifested positive relation in seven cases neuroblastoma of Caspase-3 ( + ) (r =0.974, P =0.001 ). Conclusion: TRAIL can markedly induce neuroblastoma cell apoptosis which primarily pass to activate Caspase-3 , and which is conductive to repress growth of neuroblastoma.
