Abstract

Aim: To investigate the value of Survivin in neuroblastoma occurrence, development, clinical diagnosis and prognostic distinguishing. Methods: In-situ hybrization technique and TUNEL method were adopted for detection of expression of Survivin mRNA and apoptotic cell. Results: Expression of Survivin in neuroblastoma was obviously higher than those in ganglioneuroblastoma and normal adrenmedullary tissue (P0.01). Expression of Survivin in neuroblastoma was related with age, clinical stage and histological classification (P 0.001 ) ,and expression of apoptosis was related with tissue type, clinical stage and histological classification(P 0.05). In neuroblastoma Survivin and AI manifested negative relation(r= -0. 696 ,P =0. 000). Conclusion: Survivin can be used as a novel diagnostic and prognostic distinguishing marker of neuroblastoma, and plays a pivotal role in regulating origination, growth, differentiation and apoptosis of neuro-blasloma.
