The Study of Repair in Teacher-student Conversation of Advanced English Classroom on the Basis of Repair Mechanism in Conversation

Repair in conversation,a mechanism available to cope with trouble sources in speaking,hearing and understanding is a common phenomenon in communication.Using the Conversation Analysis(CA) theory,this paper analyzes some authentic teacherstudent utterances in classroom and tries to explore the repair phenomena in teacher-student conversation of Advanced English classroom teaching for English major on the basis of repair mechanism in conversation.It aims to capture the characteristics in classroom conversation and reveal the repair organization and its functions so that the quality of classroom conversation will be more effective.
