Acupuncture Treatment of Post-Stroke Depression Clinical Control Study

Abstract

[Objective]To observe the curative effect of acupuncture treatment Post-Stroke Depression(PSD).[Methods] 80 cases of depression were divided randomly into treatment group(n=40) treated with acupuncture,and control group treated(n=40) with prozac.The therapeutic course lasted for 6 weeks.[Results](1)The HAMD value of both groups decreased significantly after treatment(P0.01).After treatment there was no obvious difference between two groups(P0.05).(2)CGI value decreased obviously after treatment(P0.01).After treatment,there was no obvious difference between two groups(P0.05).[Conclusion] The clinical study shows that this acupuncture treatment is safe and effective for Post-Stroke depression.
