Abstract

Objective To study the efficacy and possible mechanism of probiotics in the treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods Ninety-four cases of patients with UC were divided into control group and observation group,47 cases in each group.Patients in control group were treated by mesalazine, while the observation group were treated by probiotics on the basis of mesalazine, the efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of observation group(93.62%) was superior to control group(72.34%),the recurrence rate of observation group(6.82%) was lower than the control group(26.47%),the serum levels of CRP,Baron endoscopic activity, expression level of HNP1-3 and DAI of observation group were significantly improved more than that of control group(P 0.05);security was similar in both groups, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P 0.05).Conclusion Probiotics can alleviate UC by multiple cooperating mechanism and reduce the recurrence,so it’s suggested to choose in the clinical treatment.
