Abstract
On the basis of an analysis of the energy consumption and changes of the industrial structure,the character of energy intensity diversification in Beijing were studied in this paper.By structure decomposition analysis of energy intensity,it was concluded that the change of industrial structure and increasing efficiency of energy utilization were two major factors which impelled the energy intensity decrease,and the latter has a greater impact.The increasing efficiency of energy utilization for the secondary industry predominantly resulted in the fall of whole energy intensity,while the development of the tertiary industry counteracted the decrease of energy intensity continuously.Finally,some measures and suggestions for decreasing the energy intensity were presented.
