Eco-spirituality in Short Stories of D.H. Lawrence

As a modernist writer,D. H. Lawrence paid much attention to alienation of humanity. In his short stories,there are conflicts between natural instincts of human beings and mechanical civilization in modern times. The unchangeable theme of Lawrence's short stories is the scourge of mechanical civilization which twists humanity and the appeal to natural humanity. According to Lawrence,only by returning to Nature and the original truth can men get rid of the nightmare of civilization and be away from destruction.
