Death Image in Lawrence's Works

Lawrence is a giant in modern English literature. In his novels, he explores the inner thoughts and the spiritual world of his characters and unfolds his unique attitude toward life and the contemporary world. Among the characters he created, some are the symbols of death because they deny the essence of life. This paper aims at pointing out the significance of these characters and revealing Lawrence's rebellious thoughts against religion, mentality and industrial civilization.
