Abstract
Objective To evaluate the relation of carotid and femoral atherosclersis to coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods These patients were divided into normal group and CAD group.CAD group was divided into single\|vessel group ( n =15),double\|vessel group ( n =10) and three\|vessel group ( n =15).IMT and plaque thickness were measured.Plaque scores were caculated. Results ① Carotid and femoral plaques were risk factors of CAD;② The predicting sensitivity and specifity of carotid and femoral plaques were 82 5% and 61 5%,65% and 84 6% respectively;③ Plaques scores and intima\|media thickness (IMT) significantly increased in CAD group in comparison to normal group. There were higher values in the left femoral atherosclerotic lesions than right femoral atherosclerotic lesions in evaluating CAD. Conclusion Carotid and femoral atherosclerosis were risk factors of CAD and had great values in predicting CAD. [
