Abstract

Building a new rural community is a significant historic task in the course of China's modernization, and an important realistic mission of China's comprehensive well-off society building as well. The consciousness of traditional small peasant economy and the utilitarian orientation under the market economy are the spiritual obstacles which restrict the process of building a new rural community in China.Learning from the successful experiences of building a new rural community in South Korean and examining the historical achievements of China's rural community building,we believe that building a new rural community at present should be located in spiritual reconstruction. Therefore, the mission of rural education is the reconstruction of cooperation spirit, the cultivation of rural industrial leader and the training of new farmers.
