On the Nature and Extent of Compensation for Product Quality Accident——An Incidental Discussion on Perfecting the Rosponsibility Legalization of Chinese Product Quality

Although the liability to pay compensation for product quality accident is liability for tort,it is also the liability for contract. The compensation for product quality accident should include the compensation for property losses-direct losses and indirect losses, and the compensation for personal injury which includes proper mental harms as well as physical ones resulting from accidents.In order to further maintain the legal rights of consumers the legislative liability should be further strengthened and perfected.
